So you decided last minute to attend one of the Halloween Dog Events โ
but you havenโt had time to get a costume? ๐๐
No stress. These 5 DIY ideas are super simple, use things you already have at home, and most importantly: they come with honest dog-approved ratings ๐ถโจ
Sometimes the funniest costume ideas are the ones that werenโt planned at allโฆ
๐ป 1. Ghost

A pillow case or sheet came back dirty from the laundry or your washing machine decided to add rusty stains to it? Donโt throw it out โ repurpose it.
Cut a few holes (just make sure you don't overestimate the size of your dog like I did) and itโs ready.
Kaliโs rating: 2/10
couldnโt walk properly, didnโt like being covered, not impressed
๐ 2. Kissing Booth

Very cute for dogs that like treats and arenโt scared of a cardboard box. (Biscuit wasโฆ not the perfect candidate).
Biscuitโs rating: 6/10
scary box but lots of treats = fair deal
๐ฉน 3. Mummy

Super fast and simple: you literally just need some bandaid.
Kaliโs rating: 10/10
looks like she got in a mean dog fight, easy to walk in, face is free โ a win
๐ธ 4. Martini Dogtail

You just need green balls or painted ping pong balls, a wooden stick + a cone from when your dog injured themself.
Biscuitโs rating: 3/10
martini is premium โ cone is trauma ๐
๐ฆ 5. Batman

Black cardboard will easily transform your dog into a superdog.
Attach it to the harness and voilร โ easy to wear anytime.
Kaliโs rating: 9/10
looks very cool, butโฆ cannot fit through furniture anymore
Bonus Tip
Not every dog is made for costumes โ and honestly, thatโs totally fine.
Some pups want treats and chaos, not fabric and fashion.
If your dog would rather nap than dress up, a simple bandana already counts as โfestive participationโ in dog world.ย Zero stress, maximum cuteness, full Halloween credit โ๏ธ
In the end:
Happy dog > perfect costume. Always.
